Digital giving (the use of contactless card readers) and online giving is becoming an increasingly important income stream for churches. As a result, the Diocese of St Albans is resourcing and encouraging churches to effectively use this technology through initiatives including a ‘Try Before you Buy’ scheme of contactless card readers and taking part in a Digital Giving Rollout (from February 2024).
This new role will support the Giving Advisor in delivering these initiatives, including the administration of these schemes, liaising with parishes, taking part in setting up contactless donation units and training volunteers. No prior knowledge of specific digital giving systems is required – full training will be given.
