A Mission and Ministry Development Review (MMDR) gives clergy an opportunity to look back on what has happened over the last year or two of ministry and, informed by that, to look forward to plan, anticipating, and developing a clearer vision for what lies ahead. In looking back there is an opportunity to acknowledge all there is to be thankful for and anything that is a matter of lament, and in looking forward to anticipating the changing demands of the role, identify future objectives and areas for potential training and development.

A consultant-led review takes place every two years and alternates with a biennial review with a bishop or archdeacon – called an interim MMDR.

Clergy are invited by the MMDR and Wellbeing Administrator, who will also provide all the necessary forms and documents as and when required.
