The Bishop of Hertford licensed seven individuals as Readers – lay people theologically trained and licensed by the Church to preach, teach, lead worship and assist in pastoral, evangelistic and liturgical work.
The Readers licensed were:

- Keith King Dunstable Team Ministry
- Tom Otley Bedford, St Paul
- Jo Sampson Welwyn Team Ministry
- Graeme Shaw Colney Heath, St Mark
- Linda Thomas Wheathampstead
- Simon Vincent New Barnet, St James
The licensing took place at St Albans Cathedral on Sunday 24 September 2023.
