Decoration Grants
As you know, the responsibility for internal decorations in your home rests with you. However, we do recognise that the cost of decorating even one or two rooms a year on a rolling programme can be quite high.
In recognition of this, the Board of Finance has again agreed to provide grants towards the cost of decorating materials for internal decorations. The Board will refund you up to a maximum of £250.
Please supply details of any internal decorations which you are proposing to carry out in 2025, together with a rough estimate of the cost of materials when you apply for a grant via this form before 31 March 2025. Grants for additional funding for insulation can also be included on the form and these must be approved before you proceed.
If you were successful in applying for this year’s grant, you must submit your receipts before the end of December for this year.
Fixflo Reminder
If you have a problem with your house, please remember to report it through Fixflo. Please try to report things as soon as there is an issue as things can get worse if left for longer periods.
Use Fixflo to report all maintenance issues in your clergy house. Please include as much detail about the problem as possible, as that will help us to choose the right contractor and help them to know what to expect when they arrive. Where possible please do attach a photo or two; they are really helpful.
If you have an emergency problem out of hours or over Christmas refer to our website for contacts. Please could you also log it on Fixflo stating what action you have taken so we are aware.
Chimney Cleaning
If your property has a chimney flue which is in use, it is your responsibility to make sure that it is swept annually.
Heating over Christmas
Please remember to leave some heating on if you are going away; no one wants to come home to a flood. We recommend that the heating should be set to a minimum of 12 degrees.
Clean Gutters
At this time of year it is important that, where safe to do so, you ensure gutters are kept clear of debris such as fallen leaves. This can help to prevent water damage and leaks within the house.
