The Diocesan Safeguarding Team would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued commitment to creating and maintaining safe and welcoming spaces within our parishes. Your efforts, whether through vigilance, training, or simply fostering an environment of care, reflect the love and compassion that is at the heart of Christian faith.
Safeguarding is a shared responsibility, and we know that this work is not always easy and can sometimes feel overwhelming, but please know that you are not alone. We are here to support you, to provide guidance, resources, and encouragement, especially at this difficult time. Your work helps ensure that everyone—children, vulnerable adults, and indeed all members of our communities, can experience the church as a place of safety where they are cared for.
Please take time to give thought to the victims and survivors who are within our church families and communities.
