Have you looked at your website recently? Does the information still say services are suspended due to COVID-19? Are there still adverts for coffee mornings held in 2022 or the flower festival in 2023?

Now is the time to look with fresh eyes at the information given on the website to visitors and members of the congregation alike. Is it clear when the church is open besides for services? Do you have great events planned but no one can find information about them anywhere on the site? Is there parking available, if not where is the nearest safe place to park? Is it obvious on the Home Page where to find the Contact Us page or the very important address for the church?
How accessible is your church for visitors with poor mobility? If possible, give information about the type of path to the church, the number of steps leading from the porch into the church, the availability of a ramp.

Top tip – think about the information you look for when visiting other churches, stately homes or museums and how that could be duplicated on your website. It doesn’t need to be massive changes – just a spring clean!
