The Diocesan Advisory Committee is a statutory body whose functions are set out in ecclesiastical legislation. It provides advice to parishes on works to church buildings, their furnishings and churchyards.
The Diocese are currently seeking a Chair for the Advisory Committee who will steer its work for the coming years, chairing meetings of the Committee and representing the Diocese in national and regional forums. The Chair will be supported by the DAC Secretary and her team, who will provide specialist expertise, but will need to have a passion for church buildings, experience in chairing meetings and sympathy with the mission of the Church of England.
