Our prayers are with all those affected by the ongoing violence in the Israel-Palestine conflict, especially those who have been injured, killed or taken hostage. We condemn the appalling desecration of human life and call on everyone to pray for peace. It is vital that everyone refrains from anything that might inflame the situation and instead seek dialogue.
Here in Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire, we urge everyone to reach out to their neighbours and protect Jew and Palestinian alike. May the God who is our strength and refuge be our guide.
We are especially mindful of the worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza, where civilians face extreme malnutrition, displacement, and fear. The suffering of children and families must stir our conscience and renew our commitment to peace and justice.

A Prayer for Peace
God of justice and compassion,
In a world torn by conflict and division,
we pray for all caught up in violence and fear.
Hold in your care those who mourn, the injured,
and those whose lives are overshadowed by war.
Give wisdom to leaders,
courage to peacemakers,
and comfort to the suffering.
Let justice roll down like rivers,
and peace flow where there has been none.
In the name of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace.
