In our daily lives and in particular when we shop, are we using the honest weights and scales the Bible tells us that we should?
Or are we always looking for a bargain without considering who is really paying the price? God wants us to act justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly.

Faith groups are key supporters of Fairtrade and thousands of churches making the connection between trade and poverty, and committing to using Fairtrade products including tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits over the past 25 years has formed a central pillar of the Fairtrade movement.
The Fairtrade Foundation works for better prices, safe working conditions, local sustainability, and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers. There are over 6,000 Fairtrade products from coffee and tea to flowers and gold, so when you shop, look for the FAIRTRADE Mark.

Traidcraft were the original fair trade pioneers in the UK, and advocated of the importance of organic farming, sustainability, and transparency to the lives of growers and artisans around the world. Unfortunately Traidcraft ceased trading in 2023, but are now working in partnership with ethical business in the UK.

Fairtrade fortnight
will take place from Monday 22nd September to sunday 5th October 2025
During Fairtrade Fortnight, join in spreading a simple message: choose Fairtrade now and help save our favourite foods.
Did you know cocoa, bananas and coffee could soon be much more difficult to find on our shelves?
Climate change is making crops like these harder and harder to grow. Combined with deeply unfair trade, communities growing these crops are being pushed to the brink.
But here’s the good news. More of us choosing Fairtrade means extra income, power, and support for those communities, as they work to build sustainable and prosperous futures.
So not only is choosing Fairtrade best for people and planet, it could help save everyday treats like chocolate bars, bananas and a warm cuppa!
Sign up the Big Fairtrade Get Togethers to hear from Fairtrade farmers and other experts on what needs to change so we can have a sustainable future for our favourite foods. These free events will run throughout Fairtrade Fortnight and are open to everyone.
If you’re organising a local event with your school, community group or anyone else, you could tune in to these Big Fairtrade Get Togethers as a group. There will be chances to ask questions of an expert panel too.
